Struct bevy::ecs::world::WorldCell

source ·
pub struct WorldCell<'w> { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Exposes safe mutable access to multiple resources at a time in a World. Attempting to access World in a way that violates Rust’s mutability rules will panic thanks to runtime checks.

Implementations§

source§

impl<'w> WorldCell<'w>

source

pub fn get_resource<T>(&self) -> Option<WorldBorrow<'_, T>>
where T: Resource,

Gets a reference to the resource of the given type

source

pub fn resource<T>(&self) -> WorldBorrow<'_, T>
where T: Resource,

Gets a reference to the resource of the given type

Panics

Panics if the resource does not exist. Use get_resource instead if you want to handle this case.

source

pub fn get_resource_mut<T>(&self) -> Option<WorldBorrowMut<'_, T>>
where T: Resource,

Gets a mutable reference to the resource of the given type

source

pub fn resource_mut<T>(&self) -> WorldBorrowMut<'_, T>
where T: Resource,

Gets a mutable reference to the resource of the given type

Panics

Panics if the resource does not exist. Use get_resource_mut instead if you want to handle this case.

source

pub fn get_non_send_resource<T>(&self) -> Option<WorldBorrow<'_, T>>
where T: 'static,

Gets an immutable reference to the non-send resource of the given type, if it exists.

source

pub fn non_send_resource<T>(&self) -> WorldBorrow<'_, T>
where T: 'static,

Gets an immutable reference to the non-send resource of the given type, if it exists.

Panics

Panics if the resource does not exist. Use get_non_send_resource instead if you want to handle this case.

source

pub fn get_non_send_resource_mut<T>(&self) -> Option<WorldBorrowMut<'_, T>>
where T: 'static,

Gets a mutable reference to the non-send resource of the given type, if it exists.

source

pub fn non_send_resource_mut<T>(&self) -> WorldBorrowMut<'_, T>
where T: 'static,

Gets a mutable reference to the non-send resource of the given type, if it exists.

Panics

Panics if the resource does not exist. Use get_non_send_resource_mut instead if you want to handle this case.

source

pub fn send_event<E>(&self, event: E)
where E: Event,

Sends an Event.

source

pub fn send_event_default<E>(&self)
where E: Event + Default,

Sends the default value of the Event of type E.

source

pub fn send_event_batch<E>(&self, events: impl Iterator<Item = E>)
where E: Event,

Sends a batch of Events from an iterator.

source§

fn type_id(&self) -> TypeId

Gets the TypeId of self. Read more

impl<T, U> AsBindGroupShaderType<U> for T
where U: ShaderType, &'a T: for<'a> Into<U>,

source§

fn as_bind_group_shader_type(&self, _images: &RenderAssets<Image>) -> U

Return the T ShaderType for self. When used in AsBindGroup derives, it is safe to assume that all images in self exist.

source§

fn downcast(&self) -> &T

source§

impl<T> Downcast for T
where T: Any,

source§

fn into_any(self: Box<T>) -> Box<dyn Any>

Convert Box<dyn Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Box<dyn Any>. Box<dyn Any> can then be further downcast into Box<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
source§

fn into_any_rc(self: Rc<T>) -> Rc<dyn Any>

Convert Rc<Trait> (where Trait: Downcast) to Rc<Any>. Rc<Any> can then be further downcast into Rc<ConcreteType> where ConcreteType implements Trait.
source§

fn as_any(&self) -> &(dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &Any’s vtable from &Trait’s.
source§

fn as_any_mut(&mut self) -> &mut (dyn Any + 'static)

Convert &mut Trait (where Trait: Downcast) to &Any. This is needed since Rust cannot generate &mut Any’s vtable from &mut Trait’s.
